Best Impossible
Best Impossible is the title of a comedy starring a writer who suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), named Melvin Udall. His bad humor and irascible character isolate him from the outside world, which he despises and by which he is at the same time overwhelmed.
All his plans, subject to the most immovable of routines, are altered by his neighbor, a young artist who needs his help after receiving a brutal beating. To his surprise, love and friendship will cross his path.
How to approach a disorder from comedy and hope?
Better Impossible is a romantic comedy film, which deals with the problem of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in a different and fun way. There is no doubt that the profile of the protagonist, played by Jack Nicholson, is a whole mine of gags that only fulfill the mission of a comedy: to make the public laugh.
But, not everything is comedy in the life of the writer and protagonist of the story. Your daily routine is significantly affected by the countless repetitive and impulsive behaviors that you are unable to control. Thus becoming his own prisoner and being forced to isolate himself from the rest of the people.
The protagonist of the film does not trust anyone and, for him, any human being is a hindrance. Suffering and love in Better Impossible
On this occasion Melvin Udall, our protagonist, opens up to the cast of characters that fate puts him on the highway of life. He does it with doubts, with suffering and distrust, but the circumstances and the nobility of his new friends act as a buffer against the new panorama that opens before his eyes.
On the other hand we have love. A feeling that is capable of saving us as soon as it is of crashing us. And you can do it in equal parts. Without a doubt, it can be an essential factor to extract us from our dome and greet us with all the benefits, and all the miseries, eye, of relationships between humans.
With patience and support, awakening is possible. In the film, Udall, Melvin for friends, looks back, and, looking back at the present, he suddenly finds a new man. You have hardly noticed. The reason is this: the people, the facts, the context, etc., everything has served as a springboard for him to find out who the hell is that guy that he sees every morning in front of the mirror.
