Anger Is Toxic To The Body

Anger is toxic to the body

We are born and already carry anger within us. Also fear and pain. These emotions come into the world with every human being, regardless of the circumstances in which each was born. From birth onward, each of these subjective realities will shape itself and take the course that the environment induces.

Anger has different levels. They range from annoyance or irritation due to some annoyance, to blind passion that leads to the most destructive acts of the human being. It is, in fact, one of the most intense emotions that can be experienced. Also one of the most harmful. Whether it explodes or is repressed, it ends up getting sick.

The human being, then, is faced with a great paradox. Feel anger, yes or yes. It is not possible for him to mutilate that part of himself. But you must learn to deal with it, or get sick, of body and mind. The good news is possible. It is possible to channel anger constructively. Competing, undertaking , taking risks, are ways to do it. But if this is not achieved, it is the body itself that pays the consequences.

Sick anger

Both alternative medicine and conventional medicine insist that all diseases have emotional components. From the point of view of holistic approaches , all illness is an unresolved emotion. When that emotion reaches its most superlative degree, it is capable of significantly deteriorating health and even leading to death.

These perspectives indicate that each emotion particularly impacts some area of the body. In the case of anger, it is known to have effects mainly on the entire trunk and stomach area.

Anger takes many forms. Resentment, resentment, hatred, etc. All these forms end up generating health consequences. In reality they are real time bombs that end up manifesting as gallstones, gallbladder problems and different digestive disorders.

Different effects on the body

Recently, researchers from the National Institute on Aging conducted research on the effects of this emotion on the body. The study’s findings were published in the Journal of the American Hearth Association . There it was verified that those who remained invaded with anger did tend to show traces of that emotion on their body.

It was found that those who get angry frequently tend to have carotid artery abnormalities. This, of course, increases the risk of having a stroke. Likewise, they discovered that those who have an “antagonistic” character, that is, very conflictive, usually present thickening of the arterial walls.

On the other hand, any outburst of anger causes the production of some hormones to visibly increase. Among them, adrenaline. The increase in this substance causes the balance of the body to be disturbed and can eventually lead to heart attacks or brain conditions.

Neither contain her … nor let her take control

Every day gives us many reasons to be angry, regardless of what our interests are. Nothing works perfectly and conflict and annoyance sow the hours. To channel these feelings of rejection and irritation, the first thing is to recognize that we are experiencing anger. That fact alone already increases the possibilities of channeling your energy in an intelligent way.

As mentioned before, this emotion has different facets. There are basically four :

  • Uncontrolled anger.
  • Anger “caught” or transferred from one person to another.
  • Anger to cover up another unconscious feeling, which the person cannot consciously accept.
  • Anger that stems from a lack of assertiveness.

In turn, anger processes originate mainly from four sources: fear, frustration, doubt and guilt. Anger does not resolve fear or frustration or doubt or guilt. What it does is give them a dangerous exit. It produces a feeling of momentary release, but it does not eliminate the causes of the problem. It also has the aggravation that it feeds on itself. The more anger we feel, the more likely it is to control and escalate. That’s how it works.

It takes 10 seconds to do this exercise. What follows is trying to identify the real source of the anger. That gives us clues as to what is the way to solve the problem behind it.
